The Autism Society of Nebraska creates connections, empowering everyone in Nebraska’s Autism community with the resources needed to live fully. THE CONNECTION IS YOU.
HOW WE USE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:

$1 per week provides a scholarship for a teen or adult to attend an art class. ($52)

$3 per week provides funding for activities at a holiday event. ($156)

$10 per week provides a scholarship for an individual to attend bike camp or swim camp. ($520)

$15 per month provides online access to events and conferences. ($180)

$100 pays a registration to attend the Nebraska State Autism Conference.

$500 provides funding for new support groups in additional Nebraska cities.
A STORY FROM OUR AGENCY:
Jessica* and her family were nervous with a new diagnosis of autism didn’t know where to go in the community. They decided to attend an Autism Society of Nebraska holiday event. With great trepidation, they went in and hoped they could make it for a short time before they had to leave. They found the Autism Society of Nebraska to be a welcoming and accepting. Jessica found a home where her child could be himself and be accepted. Eventually, she decided to give back to the organization that helped her so much and has been an active participant in planning and assisting with events. She believes that providing a safe space for people on the spectrum to experience activities and learn what will be expected in a real world situation is critical for people on the spectrum to learn and grow.
