A STORY FROM OUR AGENCY:
In Boone County, the Boone County Foundation Fund has been a key catalyst for growth. BCFF, an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation, has been the driving force behind a series of transformational projects. Millions of dollars have been raised in the last decade for trails, nursing home, pool, an ag building on the country fairgrounds and at the same time, a state-of-the-art early childhood education center.
Boone Beginnings now calms the fear many Boone County families faced when they knew a child was coming to their family and they didn't know where that child was going to be cared for when both parents went to work. And from a community standpoint, access to high-quality schools and childcare impacts where potential families choose to call home, so it is clear this project has contributed to a more prosperous future for all those who call Boone County home.
