HOW WE USE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:
- $10 per month supports a one-night stay for a family in a comfortable guest room. ($120)
- $25 per month covers three days of sanitation services, helping keep families safe and healthy. ($240)
- $50 per month provides dinner for all families in the House for one night. ($600)
A STORY FROM OUR AGENCY:
When Nicole met Jailyn, she saw a little girl already facing overwhelming medical challenges. Born with intestinal failure and kidney complications, Jailyn needed stability to survive. “I knew she needed a home,” Nicole says. So she adopted her.
After years of care across the country, doctors could no longer manage Jailyn’s complex needs. Refusing to give up, Nicole brought her to Nebraska—where Jailyn underwent a life-saving quadruple transplant at Nebraska Medicine.
Following surgery, they stayed at Ronald McDonald House Omaha, which quickly became a place of comfort and connection. There, Jailyn found joy in art and small moments of childhood, while Nicole found rest, support, and a sense of community. “You don’t feel alone,” she says.
During recovery, Jailyn was diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoma. Despite the setback, she faced treatment with remarkable strength. Over time, her condition improved, and hope grew stronger.
Jailyn loved art and dreamed of designing clothes. She brought light to everyone around her.
Jailyn has since passed away, leaving behind a legacy of courage and resilience. During their time at the House, she and Nicole showed what it means to find strength in community and love in the hardest moments.
Her story reminds us why this mission matters—ensuring families never face their journey alone.
